Service Event at Friends Meeting House Frenchay

     The event was well attended, and we reported positive feedback from the attendees.

One topic came up over and again during the event:

That of Unity.

This was expressed by some.

Sponsors may not be pushing their sponsees towards Service at a Inter-group level.

Perhaps some Members need to remember tradition one –

‘Our common welfare comes first’…. this suggests we need to protect the legacy of AA for future generations in an unselfish way, by giving up some of our time to Serve others in gratitude for the sobriety we have ourselves received.

Declaration of Unity

This we owe to A.A.’s future:
To place our common welfare first;
To keep our fellowship united.
For on A.A. unity depend our lives,
And the lives of those to come.

Declaration of the 35th Anniversary International Convention, 1970, Miami, Florida.

Many thanks for a joyous event
