Important Reminder

To everyone involved in Twelfth Step calling

Following a serious incident during a Twelfth Step call that occurred recently outside of the Western Service Office area, it may be helpful to remind all telephone responders and Twelfth Steppers of the relevant recommendation in The AA Service Handbook for Great Britain.

Chapter 10: AA Telephone Services, 10:3 “Experience has shown that it is vital to link “male to male” and “female to female” when placing Twelfth Step calls. When making Twelfth Step visits, it is strongly recommended that more than one person should make such visits.”

For the protection of our fellowship as a whole, its members and the still suffering alcoholic, would all involved in making or carrying out Twelfth Step calls please be mindful of the importance of following these recommendations.

Many thanks. Yours in fellowship.
